Autumn wedding at Rittergut Orr close to Cologne

From the first meeting, I knew: L & T are a totally relaxed couple. They know exactly what they want and don't want, and they simply want to have a wonderful day from the bottom of their hearts. They don’t need confetti cannons, elaborate wedding cakes, or fancy wedding decorations. They focused on their priorities: a great venue, good food, and a lively celebration.

The celebration took place at Rittergut Orr near Cologne: an old manor house surrounded by a lush park. The exclusivity of Rittergut Orr is not only impressive, but also the possibility to split the celebration across two floors. L&T had their outdoor ceremony and the following reception on the ground floor before heading upstairs for dinner. This was advantageous for me as the wedding coordinator, as the dining hall could be fully set up and decorated before the celebration began. Only the chairs had to be carried from the ceremony area to the dining hall.

Together with Katharina from Florel, I set up the arrangement for the outdoor ceremony. We both only half-believed that we could really transform a clothes rack into an eye-catching wedding arch, and we were pleasantly surprised by the result.

L. had a neon sign made as a wedding gift for her husband. We used it in the dining hall after the ceremony and later at the party. Today, it decorates their living room!

Before the outdoor ceremony, we scheduled a few minutes for the first look between the bride and her father. He waited for her on the terrace and then accompanied her to the ceremony. I made sure that all the guests had already taken their seats to ensure that no one would see the bride before her entrance.

In addition to the wedding arch, I arranged place cards, menu cards, candles, and small flower bouquets on the tables for the dinner. With the chosen U-shape of the tables, the bride and groom had a view of their guests all evening long!

This wedding is once again proof that less can really be more. The decoration was carefully chosen and perfectly matched the unique atmosphere of the venue. There was a program, but also enough space for toasts and relaxed conversations among guests. Instead of many speeches and an extended dinner, there was a flying dessert with a seamless transition to the party.

Thank you, L&T, for trusting me and all the best for your journey! Also, a special thanks to Patrick & Nik for these beautiful photos and videos.

xx
